Duane Reade offers samples


NEW YORK -- Duane Reade highlighted its natural skin care offerings when it gave out Balm Innovations' Omnibalm 13% tea tree oil skin relief cream this spring.


Omnibalm is a multipurpose topical that "works on everything that ails your skin from head to toe," including sunburn, bug bites, dry and cracked skin, minor burns, cold sores, poison ivy, and even tired and sore feet, according to Balm Innovations.However, 92 percent of the patients in the study said they eventually bought drugs off the street, primarily heroin, because it is less expensive and more effective than prescriptions.
